With the preload sections complete this class can now benefit primarily from community feedback. Thank you for taking the time to rate this class and to provide constructive comments. There are bonuses every level. But I'm sure it would play okay. I get the feel of it quickly. Its just a cap of the strength ability. It makes monsters seem interesting. It might work for newbs though. Man, have I been having trouble finding a picture for this puppy.

My prereqs are: Female with brilliant green eyes. But that is harder to find than a needle in a hay stack. If any of you ppl's find a freakin' sweet picture please let me know. This is good and I would like to see many more changes taking place to bring this article up to high standards. This article is now turned over to the community for further changes and revisions. This is just what I've come up with so far by skim reading: Might- Do the penalties to dexterity from heavy armour apply to strength?

Lightweight- Does this negate armour penalties to skills such as jump and swim? The desciption implies that it does. Also, where does the extra move action come from which allows you to move that extra 10ft in order to attack in a single round? Or does it apply to strength based skills too?

The latter would make sense in context, but would this be slightly unbalanced?By duncan. On July 11, One — inexplicable — thing that blows my mind though is how the Lucky feat survived playtesting. Every single one of the four Dungeon Masters in my group has banned it from the table the only change to the official rules we all agree on!

That time you rerolled your charisma check…. You have inexplicable luck that seems to kick in at just the right moment.

You have 3 luck points. Whenever you make an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can spend one luck point to roll an additional d You can choose to spend one of your luck points after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined. You choose which of the d20s is used for the attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. You can also spend one luck point when an attack roll is made against you.

If more than one creature spends a luck point to influence the outcome of a roll, the points cancel each other out; no additional dice are rolled. You regain your expended luck points when you finish a long rest. However consider this. Inspiration p. Inspiration is a hard earned reward p. To select Lucky feat is to essentially be granted unearned inspiration three times a day, and goes against everything the game designers planned for inspiration itself.

The result is that any PC with the Lucky feat dictates their own success all too often, in not just a key juncture, but in three big moments a day, when usually they would have failed, perverting the flow of the game in their favour, and often isolating them from ever having anything bad happen to their character.

Option 1. Have the player roll a d4 minus 1 after a long rest to determine how many luck points they have for the day ahead ie. This gives them an average of 1.

Option 2. Alternatively, if you are a bit more generous than I am, then you could have them roll a d3 simply, giving them luck points a day and an average of 2.

Option 3. The PC still gets 3 luck points a day, but instead of forcing a reroll they have the option, after the dice is rolled but before outcome is determined to use a luck point to add 1d4 to their original roll. This means that three times a day the PC can turn a narrow failure into a narrow success — with a bit of luck! This better represents what it means to be lucky in my opinion, and is probably how the rules should have been written.

It comes with a high quality box and everything fits perfectly in it. I say that because it comes with a lot of stuff and you need to be careful to not lose any figure or tile. Figures are awesome and well designed. The tiles are stunning. The game comes with the rule book and adventure book.

So, you have 13 adventures to play solo or with your friends and family. One of the things that a I like, of course, is that the game is cooperative. So you really need to work together to win the game because it is not an easy one. The game comes with 5 heroes with their tiles and power cards.

One is the character's views on "law" versus "chaos", the other on "good" versus "evil". The two axes allow for nine alignments in combination. As with the law-versus-chaos axis, a neutral position exists between the extremes. Characters and creatures could be lawful and evil at the same time such as a tyrantor chaotic but good such as Robin Hood.

In that edition, a character who performs too many actions outside their alignment can find their alignment changed, and is penalized by losing experience points, making it harder to reach the next level. Richard Bartle 's Designing Virtual Worlds noted that alignment is a way to categorize players' characters, along with gender, race, character classand sometimes nationality.

Alignment was designed to help define role-playinga character's alignment being seen as their outlook on life. A player decides how a character should behave in assigning an alignment, and should then play the character in accordance with that alignment. A character's alignment can change. If a lawful neutral character consistently performs good acts, when neutral or evil actions were possible, the character's alignment will shift to lawful good. In games, the Dungeon Master referee decides when alignment violations occur, as it is subjective and often frowned upon, if not outright disallowed.

Characters acting as a party should have compatible alignments; a party with both good and evil characters may turn against itself.

Chaotic creatures and individuals embraced the individual above the group and viewed laws and honesty as unimportant. At that time, the rulebook specified that "chaotic behavior is usually the same as behavior that could be called 'evil ' ". They believe in maintaining the balance between law and chaos and were often motivated by self-interest.

Within the game, Paladins, altruistic heroes, and creatures such as angels are considered good. Villains and violent criminals are considered evil, as are inherently evil creatures such as demons and most undead. Even though good characters can be defined as having a respect for others, Littmann notes that this does not generally extend to the treatment of evil creatures - "a party of good characters will chop and char a tribe of orcs to so much smoking hamburger without the slightest hesitation or regrets".

A lawful good character typically acts with compassion and always with honor and a sense of duty. However, lawful good characters will often regret taking any action they fear would violate their code, even if they recognize such action as being good. Such characters include righteous knights, paladins, and most dwarves.

Lawful good creatures include the noble golden dragons. A neutral good character typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A neutral good character has no problems with cooperating with lawful officials, but does not feel beholden to them. In the event that doing the right thing requires the bending or breaking of rules, they do not suffer the same inner conflict that a lawful good character would.

A chaotic good character does what is necessary to bring about change for the better, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom, not only for oneself, but for others as well.

A lawful neutral character typically believes strongly in lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules, and tradition, but often follows a personal code in addition to, or even in preference to, one set down by a benevolent authority. A neutral character also called "true neutral" is neutral on both axes and tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment, or actively seeks their balance.

In an example given in the 2nd Edition Player's Handbooka typical druid might fight against a band of marauding gnolls, only to switch sides to save the gnolls' clan from being totally exterminated. Most animals were originally considered true neutral, because they lack the capacity for moral judgment in general, guided by instinct rather than conscious decision. The 4th edition introduced an additional alignment called "unaligned" for creatures not sapient enough to make decisions based on alignment, even that of neutrality; this alignment is also used in the 5th edition.

A chaotic neutral character is an individualist who follows their own heart and generally shirks rules and traditions. Although chaotic neutral characters promote the ideals of freedom, it is their own freedom that comes first; good and evil come second to their need to be free.

A lawful evil character sees a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit than to necessarily follow. Examples of this alignment include tyrants, devils, corrupt officials, and undiscriminating mercenary types who have a strict code of conduct.Its members are advanced super-soldiers with superhuman strength, speed, and agility.

Even if people believe they have evaded surveillance, Shinra will follow them for the remainder of their lives, and, in a worst case scenario, the company will have them killed.

SOLDIER members are equipped with a set of combat fatigues colored to distinguish rank, though the highest ranking members forgo this formality. The SOLDIER outfits are composed of sleeveless turtle-neck sweaters and baggy pants with leather accents that hold their armor and weapon in place when not in use.

Members wear body armor on the chest, head, and shoulders, and wield wide two-handed swords along with several types of Materia and extra weapons, depending on class. They also wear a belt with the logo as the buckle. Their chest armor has disappeared, and the only torso-covering they have over their sleeveless turtle-necks is a leather belt-like wrapping with a new version of the SOLDIER logo embedded on the front that covers the lower stomach. Zack Fair wears neither red nor purple but rather a dark blue, nor does he wear a helmet.

It is the default weapon for 3rd and 2nd Class members, but most known 1st Classes use their own swords. The uniforms and standard equipment could have been changed, explaining the differences, and with the weaker and more abundant members, SOLDIER becomes less of an elite operative based organization, but more of a force that serves as elite guards and shock troops. The result was Sephiroth, who, although not having the powers of a Cetra as originally intended, was a child with exceptional abilities. Shinra recognized his potential and a method was planned to mass produce more fighters of his type. Later Lazard defects to join Genesis in causing chaos across the Planet. Zack and Sephiroth are sent to Nibelheim to fix the local Mako Reactor and during the mission a series of events results in Sephiroth denouncing his humanity and destroying the town.

Professor Hojo takes Zack and Cloud and the rest of Nibelheim's survivors except for Tifa, who was rescued by Zangan before Shinra arrived as test subjects in the next round of experiments in the Jenova Project. Though Zack later escapes, taking a Mako-poisoned Cloud with him, the Shinra army guns him down before he reaches his destination.

Cloud claims to have been a member, but this is a false memory created by the psychological damage Hojo's experiments caused him, as well as the trauma he experienced from his hometown's destruction and the death of his friend, Zack.

Due to the effects of the experiments Cloud's eyes have the "glow" that makes people believe he is a former member. Deepground is a top-secret military and experimentation group that started as a medical division to attend to wounded SOLDIERs, and later became an experimentation ground for more extreme experiments involving the subjects of the Jenova Project.

The Planet's original history told of a war between two nations that dragged on due to the countries being equally strong, which was when SOLDIER was formed. Finally, at the training facility, in addition to training the candidates were exposed to Mako energy and only a handful graduated.

Many became physically and mentally ill and dropped out, but this was concealed by disguising the loss in an extraordinary number of accidental deaths and suicides. Some people, though, managed to escape. At this time people viewed the government as good as worthless; they trusted only Shinra to protect them. This was how the government fell under Shinra's power. Exposure to Mako energy had more visible symptoms in the early story drafts: Those bathed in Mako would gain superhuman strength, and their dormant "Jenova" element would become easier to awaken.Zack managed to escape with a catatonic Cloud in tow.

The two almost make it to Midgar, but the Shinra army catches up with them and Zack dies in battle. Red XIII explains that these spirits are "Whispers" and that it's their job to make sure fate plays out as planned. Cloud and his friends decide to fight their fate and they defeat the leader of the Whispers, followed by another encounter with Sephiroth, who asks Cloud to join him in "defying destiny.

There is a moment where Aerith and Zack become aware of each other's presence, but Zack fades away. Cloud and his friends didn't change the past when they defied the leader of the Whispers, only their future.

Zack is still dead in the current timeline and his adventures with Cloud in Midgar have happened in a lifetime that we won't get to see. From tip to handle, it is approximately five to six feet long, with a single-edged large blade approximately one foot wide. In Cloud's Final Fantasy VII artwork, the blade is a lighter color on the bladed edge, while the rest of the blade is dark gray, and the handguard appears to be bolted or riveted into place.

There are two holes near the handguard, variably said to be Materia slots, or where Cloud clips the sword onto his back. This design is used in most spin-off appearances.

The blade is visually split into two segments, with a darker side that tapers into the edged side. The handguard is colored gold and has ornate swirl designs, the part of the blade bearing the two holes is raised slightly and sectioned off from the rest of the blade, and there are etchings engraved on the blade toward the handguard. It features the dark end leading to the blade with a taper as seen in the Compilationalong with the more defined linked Materia slots, while it has the original's bolted hilt, which seems to be a clasping of metal wrapped around the more intricate, gold hilt of the Compilation version.

The handle is wrapped in overlapping leather from the guard to the pommel. For the first time, the Materia equipped onto the blade is visible. The Buster Sword is Cloud's default weapon. It cannot be sold or thrown due to Cloud using it in cutscenes and minigames. It has two linked Materia slots.

On the title screenthe Buster Sword appears suspended over the ground surrounded by a black background. The Buster Sword is again Cloud's default weapon. Its menu description alludes to the name of the original game's normal battle theme"Those Who Fight".

The sword has a heavily worn exterior, with innumerable scratches visible along its length. In the final scene of the game, it is covered in grime, and the handle is worn where it is held.

The sword rusts and becomes covered in dirt. His parents borrowed the money for the sword, and Angeal's father worked as much as he could to pay back the debt, eventually falling ill and passing away.

Angeal cares for the sword in his father's memory, using it as little as possible to avoid it being damaged, instead fighting with a standard SOLDIER sword. Angeal entrusts the Buster Sword to Zack as a symbol of passing on his honor and dreams. Zack uses the blade more frequently than Angeal, but swings to hit with the blunt edge. When Zack is gunned down outside Midgarhe passes on the Buster Sword to Cloud, naming him his living legacy and proof of his life. When Zack has the Buster Sword on his back the blade's edge is facing down, while Cloud later on has the sword's blade facing out, possibly for quicker use of the blade itself.

The Minerva battle starts off with a cutscene showing Zack with the Buster Sword even if it hasn't been obtained yet, and because the cutscene transfers directly into the battle, the Buster Sword remains on Zack for the battle. Cloud brandished the Buster Sword and attacked enemies while riding the Hardy-Daytona.
